Corn again

Eric found a corn field a few weeks ago. He brought home 50 pieces of corn, and hid them in the garage. Every other day he's bringing a few ears inside for Isaiah to shuck. Before going to bed Isaiah really wanted to shuck some corn so he could feed the squirrels. Is this "corn obsession" ever going to end?

Apple sauce

We bought 50 lbs. of apples a month ago, and we always thought it will be a great idea to make sauce but we never got to it. We ate half of the apples, but today we got inspired and we finally did it. All I can say is that it was much easier than canning chicken!!!

Am cumparat 25 kg. de mere acum vreo luna si tot am vrut sa facem suc de mere, dar n'am avut timp. Azi, dupa ce am mancat jumatate din mere, ne'a venit energie si am terminat sucul de mere. L'am pus de-o parte pentru iarna, si ne'am mirat cat de usor a fost de facut in comparatzie cu puiul la borcan.

Mrs. Wood

Cutting cabbage

When we woke up this morning (6:30AM) I mentioned we will be making haluski. Isaiah got so exiting because he knew that meant he will get to cut the cabbage. Believe me, there's excitement behind the concentration look on his face :)

Isaiah s'a sculat foarte vrednic in dimineata asta. A pus furculitele la loc, a taiat varza pentru haluski (ne'au invatat parintii lui Eric cum sa facem mancarea ungureasca) si acum face curat la jucarii. Ce fatza concentrata are?

Visit

Our friends Griffin and Lincoln came to visit us today. Luke and Lincoln had a "whose fist fits better in their mouth" contest. Isaiah and Griffin had a great time playing in Isaiah's closet, and the moms just hung out and did nothing. Beautiful!!! Thank you Kaley for driving (I admit is a challenge packing everyone up and I am thankful when other people come over).

Prietenii nostri Griffin si Lincoln au venit in vizita astazi. Luke si Lincoln au incercat sa vada cat pot sa'si manance mainile, Griffin si cu Isaiah s'au ascuns in cosul de rufe murdare. Mamicile au stat de taclare uitandu'se la ninsoarea de afara.

Luke blesses us EVERY MORNING with huge smiles. How different our world would be if everyone would wake up with this kind of attitude :)
Plus he loves seeing his daddy, so this morning we got double blessing.

Daniels' Birthday

Haaapy Birthday to Daniel...
It was nice to see aunts and uncles (especially uncle Ilie), mamaia and Mr. Dorel. We have not seen them in a while, so it's always good to catch up. We debated, we ate good...thank you Mike and Maria for having us.

La multi ani pentru Daniel care a facut 5 ani. Aseara am fost la Maria si Mike si ne'am jucat, am mancat bine, si am cantat pentru Danny. Ce frumos am petrecut!!!

The farm

We went to the Glezen Farms and we were amazed by how much we learned in a couple of hours. Thank you, Val!!!
Isaiah was really intrigued with the cows, and he LOVED the huge trucks. Check out the last picture; he was running for his life when he realized the truck is moving (just kidding...the truck wasn't moving, it just looks that way).
Luke, on the other hand was intrigued by...well, let's say the nice, crisp air so he slept through the whole thing (woke up couple of times to smile at the camera).
Are you surprised that Isaiah found some corn to shuck?

Ne'am dus la ferma Glezen si am invatat foarte mult in doua ore cat am stat acolo. Aveau 680 de vaci pentru lapte si alte sute pentru carne. Lui Isaiah i'au placut camioanele si uite ce repede a fugit cand a vazut ca'i pica camionul in cap (glumim bineinteles).
Lui Luke i'a placut aerul curat si a dormit tot timpul petrecut la ferma.
Si bineinteles Isaiah a gasit un porumb pe undeva :)

Making jelly

We added another fun experience to our adventurous life: we made jelly today. Yummmm...it came out excellent. Thank you Bethany for the idea. And thank you Isaiah, Zane and Luke for behaving...they were really good.

Astazi am facut dulceata, a iesit excelenta. Copiii nostri au fost foarte cuminti sa-i pupe mama pe ei!!!

Another beautiful fall day

Our servant-filled-heart-friends, Sal and Sal Jr. came over to help with the yard yesterday. I wish you could see what a beautiful job they did, but I forgot to take pictures, so you would just have to trust me.
Isaiah asked for a leaf pile and he played in it the whole afternoon.
Thank you guys, and thank you God for the beauty of your creation. We think Fall is the season that expresses the most the beauty of who God is.

Prietenii nostri Sal si Sal Jr. au venit la casa noastra si ne-au ajutat cu gradina. Au greblat frunzele, ne-au taiat toate florile uscate si iarba, ne-au binecuvantat cu ajutorul lor.
Isaiah a vrut frunze sa poata sari in ele, si i'au facut o gramada in care s'a jucat toata ziua.
Zicem noi ca toamna e anotimpul care exprima cel mai bine frumusetea creatziei lui Dumnezeu.

Halloween

We invited all our friends that live far out in the country to come to our house for Halloween so they can get some candy (our street just goes crazy for Halloween).
We had a lot of fun, and all the kids were so exited to go Trick-or-Treating except the Farmer who just decided he had a LOT to do in the morning so he went to sleep :)
We just wish we would have gotten a little bit more candy because there wasn't enough...hehehe (obviously just kidding).

De Halloween am invitat prietenii nostri care stau departe de oras sa vina la noi ca sa poata sa primeasca bomboane. Strada noastra da multe bomboane si toti ne'am distrat foarte bine, in afara de Taranul nostru care s'a dus la culcare devreme.
Ce ziceti, am primit bomboane multe? Ni se pare ca nu prea (glumind bineinteles).

And the winners are...

THE FARMER and THE CORN!!!
Isaiah and Luke got the prize for the most original costumes this year. They got a $20 Wal-Mart card, and we were really proud of them. They were REALLY cute!!! We might be a little partial, but hey...why not?!!!

Isaiah si Luke au luat anul acesta premiul pentru cel mai original costum. Ce putem sa zicem, avem copii frumosi. Si noi suntem talentati la facut costume de Halloween.
